Ikebana workshop

Saturday, September 23rd, 1017
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
$20.00
American Yoga Foundation
Bovina Center, NY

Description:
Japanese flower arranging, also called Ikebana, can be practiced as a contemplative art. Under the guidance of Sogetsu school teacher Ellen Rook, students will learn to create flower arrangements and experience Ikebana as a creative and meditative dance with nature, space, and perception. Like meditation, Ikebana teaches us to really look at and work with what is before us.

The half-day workshop is an opportunity for participants to create arrangements, practice, and learn together. The program will conclude with a 'flower show' to celebrate the afternoon's creation.
